Icon Water has submitted its 2018-23 Price Proposal to the Independent Competition and Regulatory Commission (ICRC) which is available on ourprices.iconwater.com.au
This proposal will keep water and sewerage bills stable while still meeting our customers’ needs and our business responsibilities. The proposal will see most water and sewerage bills increase by 2.3% per year, which is lower than the forecast inflation rate.
John Knox, Managing Director, said “we have worked closely with our community over the past two years through the Talking Icon Water engagement program. We have listened to our community’s valuable feedback about our proposed water and sewerage price structure to ensure we get the balance right for our 2018-23 Price Proposal to the ICRC.”
“With price affordability front of mind, we are now proposing to the ICRC a minor rebalancing of our water supply and volume charges. This better reflects the current water security in the ACT achieved through the completion of the water security program in 2013. The minor rebalancing proposed will bring Icon Water’s tariff structure closer to water providers nationally.”
“We have prepared an interactive online customer portal to provide an overview of our pricing submission. The key outcome of our proposal is the continued provision of safe, reliable and high quality water and sewerage services balanced with sustainable pricing” Mr Knox said.
The proposed 2018-23 water and sewerage pricing is highlighted below:
|Supply charge ($/year)||104.21||120.00||140.00||160.00||180.00||200.00|
